When a customer asks an assistant instead of typing into a search box, there is no page two. There is one answer. Everything we build makes it likelier that the answer is you — and that the machine reading your site can prove who you are.
A search results page is generous: ten links, and a curious person might scroll to the fifth. An assistant's answer is not generous. It names one or two businesses and moves on. Every bit of visibility below that line disappears — not ranked lower, simply absent. The businesses that get named are the ones a model can read confidently, verify quickly, and quote without risk. That is not luck and it is not advertising spend. It is preparation.
A normal website is built for eyes. Prices live inside images, key facts are buried in marketing prose, half the content only appears after JavaScript runs. A person navigates that fine. A model skims it, extracts little it trusts, and recommends a competitor whose facts were sitting in plain structured form. We publish your business the way a machine needs to receive it — plain, explicit, verifiable — alongside the version humans see. Same truth, two formats.
This is not a settled discipline with a decade of best practice. The conventions are being written now, and most agencies have not begun — they are still selling the old checklist. That gap is temporary and it is worth occupying while it exists. Our clients are already legible to AI search; when everyone else scrambles to catch up, they will be catching up to a position that has been held for a while.
